Pit Bulls Attack Two Ponies

The owner of three American Pit Bull Terriers that attacked two ponies is under investigation by the Seprona branch of the Guardia Civil.

MOT American Staffordshire TerrierThe dogs escaped his control and attacked the ponies, killing one and causing several wounds to the other in two separate attacks. The incidents took place in the Chopico Blanco area of Caniles (Baza).

The first attack took place just after the 20th of August when three dogs that had escaped from their owner’s property had attacked and injured one of the ponies.

However, on the 25th the second attack involving the same three dogs took place on a second pony but this time resulting in its death. The owner of the ponies then reported both attacks to the Policía Nacional, who handed the affair over to Seprona.

Seprona went to see the owner of the dogs and found that he did not have a civil-responsibility insurance for his animals, which is obligatory for dangerous breeds. Furthermore, one of the American Pit Bull Terriers was completely unregistered and lacked any kind of vaccination.

    Sadly for Leon, the one-eyed brave, ex feral, dogs and cats do not always mix. Still, a snapped neck is quicker than being torn to bits by a feral pack.
