There's still the opportunity to visit Salobreña's Medieval Market, which began Saturday and lasts until Tuesday evening.
This event has become a traditional one going back some years, put on by a travelling fair that ranges all over Spain, with Salobreña one of its summer stops.
Situated in the Parque de Las Columnas opposite the beach, the fair will have artisan (handicraft) items, foodstuffs, as well as medieval music. Of course, to amaze children as has been the case over the centuries, there will be fire eaters. Normally, it is held in Parque La Fuente II
The handicraft items include soaps and natural, ambiental perfumes (air fresheners), as well as silver jewellery and trinkets. There is also ceramic pottery – there’s even a teashop/stall, explained Laly Morales, who manages the Mercado Medieval.
The markets runs from 20.00h to 02.00h the next morning, each day. Entrance is free.
