The Town Hall has given approval for a study for a new urbanización in the Puntalón area of Motril, bringing it a step closer.
The said housing complex would be situated on the right-hand side of the Rambla de Puntalón, above the road that connects Motril proper to Puntalón, right in front of the sports complex and the housing already there.
Mayor Luisa García Chamorro, expressed her satisfaction over this project which will expand the offer of homes in the town’s municipal annexes, such as Puntalón, meeting the demand for new housing.
The urbanización will consist of five manzanas; i.e., blocks, in the American sense of the word, hence New York’s nickname, The Big Apple, by the way. The building will have three stories (ground, first and attic) in the form of three rows of terraced houses, making 94 dwellings, 28 of which will be VPO’s (Government Subsidised Dwellings)
