A reader wrote in to tell us of a death in Salobreña, Debbie Green, who was well known in town.
To all who remember Debbie Green from Salobrena, she sadly passed away earlier this month.
Born 9th of May, 1958 – Died 2nd of August, 2023
She was known for the guided walks she used to take the English patrons on who were staying at the Best Western Hotel.
She was also a registered translator, being fluent in Spanish & German.

Born Deborah Jane Whelton, 9May1958
Died August 2 2023 in Calahonda Motril. Ataxia, followed by Cancer, peacefully in her sleep.
Married John Brown QC who returned to Sth.Africa, married Robert Green Prudential, had a son Christopher, unfortunately Robert died before his son was born. Degree in Spanish studied in Cordoba, fluent in French, studied Italian,Latin.
