The Policía Local de Málaga knabbed a driver with a forged handicapped-parking pass.
It was around 16.30h on the 4th of July on Calle Pacífico, right in front of the Provincial Council building that two officers were checking cars parked in reserved, parking spaces for people with mobility problems.
They came across a Mazda 3, which had a handicapped-parking pass on display on top of the dashboard. They immediately saw that it was a digital copy of a bona-fide pass.
They wrote out a fine and a report for legal proceedings because the forgery of public documents is a criminal offence.
They then called for the municipal, break-down lorry to tow it away.
The driver, a 30-year-old woman, turned up four hours later at the municipal, vehicle compound to collect her car. Staff at the compound alerted the officers who went round to identify and question the woman.
They asked her to open the car so that they could get a closer look at the pass, which confirmed that it was a fake, so it was confiscated. She was informed that the judicial authorities would be informed and that she would have to appear before a magistrate.
