With the tightening of restrictions on jet skis in Almuñécar and La Herradura, these aquatic troublemakers are moving to Salobreña's beaches.
Salobreña had already suffered the inconvenience of jet skis during previous years — something I can attest to having lived until recently on Urb Costa Aguilera Alta, so this ‘transfer’ will only exasperate the problem further.
The problem is not those belonging to nautical-activity companies who make sure that their users strictly follow the rules, which was pointed out on previous articles on the subject. It’s the private owners who cause the problem.
The result was that last weekend in Salobreña the Guardia Civil had to intervene and fine two jet-ski users, because they were coming too close to bathers.
Editorial note: the photo is from last year in Almuñécar where a jet-ski user is being breathalysed.

Doh. I was wrong again. Must have been a nappy change break. With a bruuum they are back.
At a guess they must do some form of day job. Start up about 1800. Whizz around in ever decreasing. 1915 finished. Dinner time or Mumsy will be upset !!
They whizz around The Penon into La Caleta Bay. At the weekend two came ashore onto the beach area. The are twits with the me-me-look-at-me attitude.
When we lived in La Herradura they were a nightmare, all you could hear was engine noise even way inland. We are now in Cotobro and it is not so bad but you can still hear them when they come in close to the beach. I understand people want to have fun but it does need some control.
