Would you be referring to leprechauns, Patricks? That’s a mite unfair. Garden gnomes have a hard time as well, you know 😉

Chinese lanterns, water usage, using car indicators, mayor’s or town halls paying fines or police overtime… It wouldn’t be spain if these things were sorted out!

Rules are only for the little people?

It was not only Salobreña the Chinese lanterns were flying from, where we live in Taramay we could see they were also coming from San Cristóbal & over Los Pinos, very irresponsible .

I was surprised at the number of ‘Chinese’ lanterns flying over Salobrena. The wind took them all in land to land on dry grass and greenhouse plastic. I thought they were made illegal years ago so why are people not arrested?

Again, as I wasn’t there, I can only add what I heard, which was a loud thump of what I assume was a flammable liquid going off.

The main fire seemed to be higher than before midnight. Same as at bar BBQs, people add to the heat.

Perhaps it’s time to have just one it two organised bonfires and still let people do the sea thing. Perhaps alcohol, fires and crowds are a bad mixture.
