There's a lorry park in the vega, which you can see from the N-340 within the municipality of Salobreña; one political party claims that it is illegal.
The transport company Transportes Peñalver e Hijos owns the land and it also has premises on the Salobreña trading estate.
Alianza Verde en Salobreña is the party that claims that this parking area is illegal and the company manager, Eduardo Peñalver Pretel, considers these accusations very serious and completely false, “slanderous and insulting.”
He points out that the company has all the necessary paperwork in order, from both the Town Hall and the Junta de Andalucía.
He also pointed out that the company generates wealth for Salobreña, by providing employment and through local taxes.
For the above reasons the company demands that Alianza Verde withdraws this accusation and publishes an apology via Radio Salobreña, which is where the accusation was made in the first place. Failure to do this would incur legal action.

How nice. An illegal lorry park and now around it, much needed new mango trees planted. Water? What water??
