Fancy Bungee Jumping?

Starting on the weekend 27th/28th, adrenaline junkies have the possibility of launching themselves off the Puente de Lata (old railway bridge) over Río Dúrcal.

GRA LEC Bungee Jumping Puenta de LataIts inauguration was chosen to coincide with the centenary of this heritage monument, designed by a student of Eiffel who built the famous iron tower of that name in Paris.

Bungee-jumping enthusiasts can experience the 50 metres drop that this elevated bridge offers, letting you pop down to the river and back in seconds, and back down, and back up and… This bungee-jumping point is thought to be the highest one in the south of Spain.

For jumpers to safely launch themselves from the bridge, a platform has been set up (made by local companies) painted with the same colours as the bridge.

Even if you don’t decide to throw yourself off, attached or not, the views from the bridge are spectacular.
