Locals and visitors enjoyed the Romería del Nuestra Señora de Fátima y Sagrado Corazón de Jesús in the Pago de Guerra, La Herradura.
Lots of preparations were crammed into the lead up for this annual event, which was held on Sunday the 16th of last month. The access lanes were tidied up, as was the Cortijo Cabrera and the chapel (ermita).
The Romería del Pago de Guerra is the first one in a series of romeria throughout the municipality and comarca.
Starting at11.00h, the Virgen was carried out from the chapel to begin her journey to the Cortijo Cabrera to return that evening for a religious service. But in the meantime, there was music and country faire, including Joaquín Barbero preparing a monster paella.
In the evening everybody had a chance to have buñuelos con chocolate.
