ALM Aerial Cabria & Currumbico 400x250This news was published on the 27th in the Official State Gazette (BOE) where the bidding process was laid out for these two beaches in Taramay at the eastern end of the municipality.

The cliffs on both of these popular beaches, more specifically, over the path that leads across the rocks between them, are crumbling.

The work comprises using a stainless steel, heavy-gauge netting, covering the rock surface and bolted into place, much like can be seen along the N-340 between Almuñécar and Salobreña, for instance.

The budget for the task is 162,291 euros and has an execution period of six weeks once started.

Editorial comment: they’re going to do this with Semana Santa just around the corner followed by the hot weather that will attract thousands of beachgoers?
