It is situated exactly where the long-disappeared one used to be; i.e. on a little square below the Paseo de las Flores. It has swings and other playground apparatus, with the ground covered with ‘safety mats.’ There are also benches for the parents to sit on whilst their children play.
Mayor María Eugenia Rufino and the Councillor for Parks & Gardens, Luis Cano, went for a photo op, disguised as a casual visit, both of whom, naturally, considered it to be a job well done.
“Children’s playground are a necessity for the municipality, but in this case it was very important to recover the one that we used when we were kids,” said the Mayor, concluding that this had been one of the small expenditures, “but it is very significant that we’ve used surplus budget from last year.
The next park will be an exercise one for the elderly (biosaludable) for residents in the same area of town.
