The Ministerio de Hacienda has approved 'regional incentives' worth 150.9m euros which will be divided between 135 projects.
Three of those projects are within the Province of Granada, receiving between them 2,855,806 euros. One of these is for the hotel company Asemica Hotels SL which intends to build a boutique hotel in Salobreña.
This project, known as Hotel Capullitos, goes back to 2003 and is in the Pargo area of the municipality. The hotel will be a 4-star one.
The other two projects that will receive grants in the province are Casona Los Rebolledo in Zújar (339,962 euros) euros), and Rovi Escúzar SL (494,148,40 euros). The later is an industrial park on the outskirts of the town.
As readers can see, the majority of the 2.8m euros will go to Salobreña.
On a regional level, Andalucía is the one that has received the most amount, totalling nearly 41m euros for 34 projects. The other regions of Spain that will receive money from this fund are Aragón, Asturias, Murcia, Castilla-La Mancha, Cantabria, Galicia, Canarias, Castilla y León, Extremadura, Comunidad Valenciana, Baleares and Melilla.

Money talks. Honesty and integrity walk. Political promises and pledges are only as good as the person that makes them or breaks them. !! The mouths are moving. Hot wind is gushing forth. !!
I do remember the little model that was the future for La Caleta ,and I am going back abit. I went back twice in five years and the work on the houses coming into the town had not come on much. Like Patrick, I was lead to believe in the beginning the only people who were allowed to buy or rent one of the houses had to be a family or resident of La Caleta never mind it’s all part of life’s big tapestry. Won’t do much for the people who were promised one years ago though

Jefferson. I do believe that a private company has taken over the shells of the terraced buildings at the start of La Caleta. Sadly, I believe the original idea was for more social housing. It seems this is now fully private or will be. Who knows. How many years empty. ??
Not wishing to put the cat amongst the pigeons. But the structure by the roundabout looks more like apartments in the making. Shame for those opposite who had a nice view of the cane fields. The sea front. I heard a nasty rumour that said the developer wanted to go up to six floors as opposed to the original four. Good job they were blocked. Bit like the effluent that would go where. ??
I second what Toby said. Don’t believe in anything until it’s finished and it opens and is making money. There are already too many half-built shells littering the Salobrena and surrounding areas (including that prominent one by the Tanatorio roundabout – and I would add the huge one at the entrance to La Caleta). There doesn’t need to be any more.
If they’re going to start a project, finish it this time!
Do you know the exact location of this ‘proposed’ hotel in the Pargo area?
Wonder if it will be similar to those fabulous 5* hotels that have been built at Salobrena sea front behind the Penon? Oh no, just remembered…they haven’t been built yet despite spending (wasting?) millions on superstructure!!
Most likely it will be like the one built in Salobrena by the Tanatorio roundabout…unfinished and an eyesore.
