VOX Almuñécar-La Herradura has complained about the bus station claiming that it is in a "state of abandonment."
Party Coordinator, Juan Garrido, said, “the installations and bathrooms in the bus station are in a deplorable state: there’s nobody to supply information, the toilets are broken and the whole building is dirty,” adding, “we are offering a bad servce and a terrible image of the municipality to vistitors, which is not what Almuñécar deserves.”
Sr. Garrido also said that there was a lack of transparency on the part of the Town Hall: “here at VOX we have requested that we be given access to lease contracts to companies in charge of maintenance and managing the bus station but we heard nothing in reply, which leads us to suspect that there are things that they want to hide from the general public.”
He then said that if there were a lease contract then it needs to be revised and demands that the leaseholder carries out its obligations, if one does not exist, then one should be drawn up urgently.
He concluded by saying that VOX has included pledges in its electoral campaign for solutions to problems in public transport, such as improving the La Herradura service and providing better installations other than a simple bus stop
