The Coach for the Spanish National Basketball Team has chosen a player from Almuñécar, Irene Espinola, to compete in the European Championships 2022.

The Spanish, female team, which is known as Las Guerreras (The Warriors) will represent their country between the 4th and 20th of November.

The Championships will be held in four European cities: Ljubljana, Celje, Skopje and Podgorica. The team will be based in the Montenegro capital during the Preliminary Round, of the matches. Their biggest rivals are their Polish and German counterparts in this round.

At the end of last month the team saw them taking part in the Torneo Internacional de España in Torrevieja (Alicante) from the 24th to the 3rd of November. We can’t give details on how that went, though, as we will already be at the printers.
