Hundreds of people, not only in La Herradura and Marina del Este, but also in Almuñécar, tuned into Canal Sur TV to see a documentary on the village.

This episode of Salud al Día was filmed just after summer began and caused quite a buzz because, as the programme is about eating and living healthily, they interviewed members of the Club Ciclista AC La Herradura just outside the municipal market.

They also made there way down to the Marina; an obvious choice, to interview the owner of Centro de Buceo La Herradura and then onto the Chiringuito Marina Playa, where the programme interviewer, Isabel Nestares, had a chance to sample the goodies produced by the chiringuito’s top-knotch, kitchen.

Isabel explained that the documentary combines health in general with suggestions for a healthy lifestyle through sporting activity, as well as through wholesome gastronomy.

This regional TV show is just the ticket for promoting the village before prospective tourists from around Andalucia.
