Motril Town Hall approved a request to be included in the Plan Itinere 2022, which belongs to the Junta's Board of Agriculture & Fishing.
Plan Itinere 2022 is designed to improve and develop the necessary infrastructure to facilitate access to rural areas that are lacking it. If you live in a cortijo right out in the sticks, this might interest you.
Mayor Luisa García Chamorro intends to use any funding obtained to improve the Camino de La Cota 200 in the area of the Barranco de Los Lobos, where it passes through the Cortijo Galindo area.
If you are not familiar with this area of Motril, we’re talking about an area to the east of the town centre and to the north of Ventanillas, quite some way out. It is about half way between where the A-7 port-connection road (GR-16) joins the A-7 and where the A-7 meets the A-44 (Granada/Motril).
If you know where the vegetation-processing plant and the Club La Espera are, then you will have an idea. So, if you have land or a cortijo out there, you’re in luck
The maximum amount of funding that Motril could receive from the Plan Itinere 2022 is 125,000 euros, so needless to say both the Mayor and the Councillor for Agriculture were full of praise for the Junta de Andalucía, although one thing is applying for the grant and quite another is being accepted for it… or, when you will eventually receive the dosh, for that matter.
