ICS Autumn Season

We resume our meetings at Hotel Salobreña Suites this Wednesday, 7 September at 11am. As is the custom we start the season with a regular favourite:

FTR Welcome Back!Book Swap And Name Badge Draw
So please do come along armed with any books that you have enjoyed and would like to pass on to other members.

Also of course, please do come along sporting your lovely ICS Members Badge to ensure you qualify for your entry into the raffle of tickets issued at 12:30h. It’s very simple… come along wearing your badge… make sure you receive your raffle ticket from one of our Committee Members before the draw is made at 12:30h If you do have to leave before the draw is made, make sure that you write your name on the back of your ticket and hand it to one of our Committee Members to make sure you receive your Lottery Ticket, if you are lucky enough to be pulled out in the draw!

Do you have Your Badge?
If you don’t have your badge please drop us a line to let us know so that we can make you a nice new shiny one!

Keep look out for our next Newsletter which is almost ready to circulate, to let you know what is coming up over the next four months.

One more thing – it isn’t too late to grab the spare seats and hotel room for two for our trip to Madrid, Toledo and Puy Du Fou in two weeks time! But you need to be super quick! Total cost for two nights for two people with return travel, park entry and meals on Day One and Day Three just €470 – please let us know if you would like them!

Finally Mini Clubs…
Our Mini Clubs are a great opportunity for all of our members. An opportunity to enjoy an interest that you already have or even develop a completely new one! We have lots of activities on the go…

We often get new starters and it is easy to come along and have a go… we have some spare ukes for you to try without commitment – just let us know in advance if you are coming so we make sure we are prepared!

More news on Mini Clubs…
Tai Chi Kung with George and Rose will be returning in October!

Our resident Bridge Enthusiast Roland is happy to get together with other members interested in learning or playing – if you would like to be included please do get in touch so we can get something organised!

Raku – Over the summer, residents in La Caleta, Salobrena and Lobres have had the opportunity to enjoy a pretty amazing experience with ceramics – doing a RAKU firing! More on that soon!

Petancas – We aim to get this up and running this season, meeting at the Petancas Pitches opposite Casa Roja in Salobreña likely to be Friday Mornings 11am for a couple of hours. A separate email will be sent out about this one!

We are so lucky to have both the contribution and effort of the members hosting these activities. Taking time out to ensure that there is something for everyone to enjoy and help fill the gaps in our free time. The very best thing about Mini Clubs is that it is the very best way to expand your circle of friends and meet members that you may not do so normally. It is just even better that you can do that and enjoy a new or existing interest at the same time. But for it to work, they need you! These activities aren’t a lot of fun on your own! So please do get involved. Don’t be shy to have a try!

We look forward to seeing you on Wednesday!
