During the Corpus fiestas in Granada cleaners who were sweeping up the litter on the fairground saw a teen threatening and hitting a teenage girl.

He had been pulling her about by her hair and she had screamed out for him to leave her alone.

However when the culprit saw that the cleaners had stopped what they were doing and were watching him, he pushed her out of sight behind some caravans – both teens belong to families that worked the fairground attractions.

It was noon on the 15th of June and fearing for the girl, they phoned the police who soon arrive and arrested the culprit. It soon came out upon questioning that the victim, his girlfriend, was pregnant.

Before the affair came to trial the aggressor said that he was guilty as charged; i.e. of repeated acts of aggression both physical and mental that he had used to control her.

The Minors Judge imposed a 12-month parole period that included education and work training. He also has to attend a course of gender violence. The sentence is final and there can be no appeal as he admitted guilt.

Editorial comment: although this has been a problem for years, the increase is probably due to young men getting their sex education from online porn.
