The man accused of the attempted murder of his own brother in Motril has received a sentence of six and a half years.
This prison term, which is shorter that the Public Prosecutor had recommended, was the result of a deal between the defence lawyers and the P.P., so no appeal trial, which was going to be held yesterday and today in Granada, was necessary.
The man who fired the shots accepted four years and six month for attempted murder and two years for the illegal possession of a firearm.
The man’s wife, whom had been accused by the P.P. of being an instigator in the attempted murder, had the charges dropped against her, as were those against the victim and his wife for physical aggression.
The incident took place in a cortijo along the Rambla de Las Brujas around 16.40h on the 4th of March, 2020.
