The Policía Local in Monachil have handed over all the brand-forgery clothes they have confiscated to the Catholic charity organisation, Cáritas.
The clothes that were impounded came from the ski resort during the 2020/2021 Ski Season, all of which are cold-weather items.
A break down reads: 600 pairs of gloves, 200 wooly hats, and 200 thick scarves, all of which were confiscated from hawkers working the ski resort; either they didn’t have a licence to sell their goods there, or because they were cheap falsifications of known clothing brands..
“Thanks to this donation, Cáritas Diocesana can hand out this sort of clothing to people with limited resources, many of whom sleep on the streets,” explained the Spokesman for the Policía Local de Monachil, Jacinto Sánchez.
