Spanish PM, Pedro Sánchez, announced on Monday that "very soon" mask wearing indoors would no longer be obligatory, owing to how things are going.
He did not, however, mention a date, leaving it at that this decision would be taken very soon, in conjunction with the regional Health Boards.
“I don’t wish to go out on a limb here because it is they (medical experts) who will decide when,” he explained during an interview on national, public TV.
He went on to say that although the contagion figures and ICU occupation continue to drop, they are both still quite high.
The Health Committe will be contemplating the elimination of the quarantine period for those who have been in contact with an infected person, regardless of their “vaccination state.” The quarantine periods were eliminated for people who are fully vaccinated several months ago .
