The Junta de Andalucía has decided to extend the obligation to bear a Covid Certificate to enter restaurants, etc, until the 31st of January.

Also valid are PCR tests no older than 72 hours or antigen tests no older than 48 hours that were carried out in an authorised centre; i.e. auto-tests are not acceptable.

This obligation not only covers restaurants, bars, chiringuitos etc, but also night-life establishments, as well as in order to visit somebody in hospital, for instance.

This extension of the existing obligation, however, is pending authorisation from the Tribunal Superior de Justicia de Andalucía.

The regional Minister of Health says that this will “facilitate the prevention of infection,” and consequencially “avoid outbreaks.” He also justifies this extention by saying that unvaccinated people spread a “stronger viral package” than those who are vaccinated.

Meanwhile, in Almuñécar, around 500 residents were able to obtain a copy of their Covid-Vaccination Certificate, thanks to the points set up by the Town Hall around the Municipality. The selected points have been set up to make it easier for people to download theirs.

You can go to the Town Hall, at the desk just inside the front door, from Monday to Friday between 09.00h and 14.00h. You have to bring along your TIE (ID card) your public-health card (tarjeta sanitaria) and your mobile phone.

If you are a resident of La Herradura, you can do it at the Centro Cívico, on the same days and times; i.e., from Monday to Friday between 09.00h and 14.00h.
