There was a 4.4 earth tremor in the Golf of Cádiz last night off the coast of Huelva, which caused no material damage nor personal injury.
It’s intensity was III and occurred at 22.03h at a depth of 13 kilometres, according to the Instituto Geográfico Nacional (IGN).
The 112 emergency number received six calls from municipalities along the coast of Cádiz: Ayamonte, Cartaya, Lepe, Isla Cristina and Huelva.
So far today there have been 24 earth tremors, 20 of which have been in the Mar de Alborán Sur (just off the Moroccan coast).
This is far from unusual and seismic activity in this area is constant although 4.4 on the richter scale was the strongest one of these 24 earth tremors registered today.
