Guidedog for Toddler

Bruno, who is two and a half and lives in Molvízar, suffers from autism spectrum disorder (ASD), which is why his parents have begun a campaign for a guidedog.

COS Bruno MolvizarThese specially trained dogs would help him to improve his quality of life, prevent risks and improve certain behavioural conducts.

Obviously, such a dog does not come cheap as they cost around 25,000 euros because of the amount of training in general, as well as for specialising the dog to the child’s needs.

Once the dog joins the family, there will be checks on how things are going every six months over a period of ten years because the behavioural conduct of the child as he grows will change, which would require further training for the animal.

All of this training and the organising behind it is carried out by the Asociación Dog Point, which specialises in training dogs for children with ASD.

All this means that little Bruno will need financial help, which the family hopes to achieve through fund-raising campaigns. If you wish to help, then please visit www.dogpoint.es where more information can be obtained and donations made under Proyecto Bruno.

Another fund-raising activity will be a concert by the Mólvízar Municipal Brass Band on the 29th of December at 20.00h in the village’s Casa de la Cultura.
