One of the two men injured in a fire in Carchuna last Thursday and hospitalised in Granada, has been moved to the burns hospital in Sevilla
The 29-year-old victim was transferred to the Hospital Universitario Virgen del Rocío, because it is the regional hospital specialised in burns injuries.
Until his transfer he was being treated in the ICU in Hospital Virgen de las Nieves in Granada until his condition improved enough to undergo the move.
The fire took place in what the Spanish press describe as a chabola (little more than a improvised shelter) near Calle Pedro de Valdivia in Carchuna where the two persons had been living. The fire was reported at 21.20h.
The Motril fire service was soon at the scene, together with police from all three services. The Guardia Civil were tasked with controlling traffic whilst the fire and rescue were underway.
The other person that was living in the hut was also injured but not enough to require specialised burns treatment.
