The Comité Regional de Alto Impacto en Salud Pública, (Committee of Health Experts) has decided to keep the whole of Andalucía on Level Zero.
The committe has taken into consideration the 14-day & 7-day contagion figures, as well as the figures for over 65s, ICU beds occupation and the vaccination role out, in order to come to this conclusion – we’re all staying where we are for the moment, as far as Andalusian Health Areas go.
This means that there will be no restrictions on maximum occupation in bars and restaurants, etc, nor limitations on opening hours.
The decision, although very welcome as far as local businesses go, is surprsing given that 14 of the 34 health districts in Andalucía have over 100 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
Not one of the four Health Districts in Granada has anywhere near that number. As mentioned in a previous article, the province of Granada has very low contagion figures compared with the rest of Andalucia, and indeed, with the rest of Spain.
