A hill fire broke out early this morning near Órgiva requiring the presence of Infoca personnel to stop it spreading and then to put it out.
The fire was in the area of the Barranco de Río Chico although the first reports given to Infoca were that it was within the municipality of Carataunas.
Eighteen fire personnel and two fire trucks were deployed who by 09.00h this morning had the fire under control and during the next few hours had the task of putting it out completely.
