Cat on a Tight Rope

Actually, it wasn't a tight rope but electricity cables and it had spent four days up there, looking down on the curious locals of Dúrcal.

GRA Cat on the Tight Rope 03Finally, yesterday, the locals managed to come up with an idea on how to get the cat down, after scratching their heads since Sunday.

At first, people thought that the same as it had managed to get up there, it would manage to get down by itself. But no, day followed night, which followed day which… and the cat just sat up there watching life go on below it.

Fortunately for the cat, word got round to a certain Latifa Moutaouakil from Happycatspain Rescate, who asked for help on social media.

A ladder was produced but the cat wouldn’t budge, so they put some food in a basket at the top of the ladder to entice the cat across. The cat went over to the basket but as it tried to get the food out, it dislodged the basket, which fell, as did the cat.

Luckily, there was a bush underneath and the cat had a soft landing… not that a cat needs one with their nine lives and a knack of landing on their feet.

There you go, a Wednesday with little news so we rustled up a cat-upon-high story.
