The Guardia Civil have found the body of the 50-year-old, missing woman from Sorvilán.

The body, which was in an advanced stage of decomposition, was found near the A-7 autovía where it passes between Sorvilán and the Playa de Los Yesos.

The discovery was made around 13.45h yesterday afternoon after an extensive search operation involving tracker dogs and a helicopter, as well as a Servicio Marítimo launch.

The woman, who lived with her elderly mother-in-law, might have suffered an accident but until an autopsy has been carried out only speculation is available.
