The German, supermarket chain, ALDI appears interested in opening up in Almuñécar on the P4 between Calle Larache and Calle Virgen del Carmen.
ALDI is studying Plot One with its surface area of 3,474 sq/m – we’re talking about where Supermercado Día stands at the moment.
In place of the existing building, there will be one with a basement area of 2,837 sq/m, a ground floor housing the shop area of the supermarket 1,952 sq/m and a loading area of 1,521 sq/m.
The developer company, ALDI Dos Hermanas Supermercados, after reaching an agreement with the land owners, (the Día pays land rent to the owner) intends to spend almost 3,000,000 euros on this new outlet. Furthermore, if there are no hitches, they hope to open their doors early next year, making it the second one on the Costa Tropical and the 5th in the whole of the province.
