The Town Hall has sorted out lighting for Calle Los Corrales, previously unlit, with 16 solar-powered streetlights.
First Councillor for La Herradura, Juan José Ruiz Joya, explained, “the lighting installations has costs nearly 7,000 euros.”
For those of you who are not familiar with this street names, it’s the one that comes off the N-340 near the main traffic lights, running back parallel with it the main road.
As mention above, these street lights are solar powered and give off 35w for up to 20 hours on a full charge, thanks to their lithium storage batteries. They are also activated by movement sensors, so they are not continually on all night at full power but are reduced to 30% output when on standby.
