The poll carried out in Salobreña amongst residents to find out how residents viewed the planned future of the old town is complete and the results known.

The Plan de Confort Urbano del Conjunto Histórico de Salobreña 2020-2022 had a positive reception, according to the Town Hall, with 250 suggestions, 70.3% of which were sent in by old-town residents band 29.7% from other parts of the town.

The main point of interest for those who participate was mobility within this area of Salobreña (30%), followed by how it could be made more attractive in a physical sense (26%) security (10%), links to culture (9%) and accessibility (8%).

“This is the first in a series of polls that will be carried out in connection with the drawing up of the  Plan de Movilidad Urbana del Casco Histórico,” explained the Councillor for Tourism, Gabriel Alonso.

The said plan is in the hands of a committee made up of representatives of associations and politicians.

Editorial comment: there is 17% missing from the category calculations, which must, logically, correspond to one entitled as  ‘various.’
