The Mayor of Motril has formally requested more tracers for tracking down the contacts an infected person has had within Motril.
The request for double the present number of tracers was made before the provincial representative of the Junta.
Mayor Luisa García Chamorro says that the Junta is already working on this and that the town should be receiving more such helpers this week.
She also announced that visitors to the Residencia de Mayores de San Luis will be reduced as much as possible to avoid the virus reaching the residents: “Our elderly must be protected,” she said, adding that since the pandemic began this publicly run residence for the elderly has had zero cases.
