The Spanish Customs police boarded a British yacht off the coast of Cádiz with 400 kilos of hashish stowed away.

The police operation began on the 14th of July after one of their aircraft located a suspicious yacht of the ketch variety moving along that part of the coast.

The Pilot alerted their maritime-branch requesting that a customs launch intercepted the yacht sailing under a British flag. The patrol launch set off from  Huelva to investigate and boarded it in Spanish waters off Chipiona (Cádiz).

Upon finding the cargo the two crew members, both Bulgarians were arrested and the yacht escorted back to Cádiz Port,where it was searched much more thoroughly than could be done out to sea.

However, the police have not concluded the operation as they have not ruled out further arrests in the next few days.
