It has been confirmed that both Granada and Málaga will pass into Phase Two on Monday. It only remains for this to be published in the BOE to make it official.
The Health Minister, Salvador Illa, made this announcement Thursday afternoon meaning that these two provinces will be in the same category as the rest of Andalucía for the next week – the other six provinces will then move on to the Phase Three.
This means, amongst other concessions, that public swimming pools will be allowed to open, as well as shopping centres, theatres, cinemas; all with attendance limitations (aforos).
Another change will be that families will be able to visit their relations in care homes for the elderly and hold weddings, again with attendance limitations
Last Friday the Head of Coordination Centre for Health Alerts & Emergencies, Fernando, Simón Soria, admitted that both provinces had registered positive figures but even so, they had to pass the mandatory period of two weeks before moving on.
