The provincial appeals court of Granada has ratified the sentence handed down on the 3rd of April, 2019 concerning Ron Montero.

The appeal was lodged by the legal representative of Andrea Martín Targa, who was the Administrator for the rum factory at the time of the explosion on the 2nd of July, 2014, resulting in one death and two injured.

Andrea Martín Targa was sentenced to three years imprisonment, which will not be imposed unless all legal recourses have been exhausted; i.e. appeals before higher courts.
