Almuñécar Town Hall has decided to maintain traffic restrictions along the Paseo Prieto Moreno, which links the Paseo del Altillo to the Peñon del Santo.

Every evening this one-way street is closed down to vehicles from 20.00h, together with the San Cristóbal beach road, between the Mercadona junction and the Chinasol roundabout.

Councillor Francisco Robles Rivas explained that this measure, which came into force last Thursday, was taken to give people who go out in the evening for a stroll more space, as recommended by the Ministry of Health.

Almuñécar has six kilometres of paseos, as well as the vega lanes behind the main road gasolinera… talking of which, they’re closed to traffic at 20.00h, as well, during the daily, set-out, strolling times.
