Hospital Virgen de la Salud in Toledo has reason to be thankful to a handful of volunteers in La Herradura thanks to homemade surgical gowns.

The volunteers belong to a Semana Santa brotherhood who have until now dedicated their sewing machines during the health crisis to surgical masks. These same sewing machines are normally employed to produce Semana Santa costumes for their brotherhood.

As soon as they received the sewing patterns for surgical gowns they set about churning out 180 gowns and dispatched them to the said hospital.
