It is always amazing that somebody will carry out a crime and then boast about it on social media, never expecting it to come back and bite them, yet it invariaby does.

Take the recent case of a man who stole a lamb, slaughtered it and immediately posted his exploit on social media, giving all the details.

“It’s the same as going to a supermaket but free,” he said in his full-facial, video recording. “It’s still moving, look at the blood coming out of the little bugger,” he observed before recounting how the shepherd had chased after him and his accomplice.

This theft had taken place on April the 28th on a goat farm in Fuentenovilla (Guadalajara) just hours before posting it on his social media account.

The farm owner had reported the incident to the Guardia Civil, who began investigating the theft, which turned out to be an easy task as the villians were bent upon getting caught through their own stupidity.

Both young men have been charged with animal cruelty (they had videoed its death throes after slitting its throat) theft, as well as breaking the quarantine regulations.
