A decision that is not without its controversy.
There is no doubt that being left behind, both for Los Malagueños y los Granadinos, is a bitter pill to swallow. It’s also a decision that is not without its controversy.
How is it that the committee made up of medical experts and politicians decided that Valencia and Castilla-León could proceed by Health Districts and not provinces, but Andalucía couldn’t?
Sadly, it appears that the politicians over rode the medical experts – it’s difficult to explain otherwise. We all move on by provinces or we all stay behind – you can’t change the goal posts to suit political convenience… wait… what I am thinking!
It would be nice to think that it has nothing to do with political favours and I would honestly like to be proven wrong, because that would restore my confidence in that this goverment is doing what is best.
Anway, things are where they are so we can only hope that when Monday the 18th comes about, either the city of Granada has improved its health statistics or the Central Government will let the Costa Tropical, La Alpujarra and the Altiplano (Guadix to Huéscar) go through to Stage One. Let us also hope that the Axarquía can go forward, as well.
