The Ministry of Public Health has confirmed that the Chinese woman hospitalised in Granada is not infected by the Coronavirus, which is spreading from China.
The blood tests taken from the patient, who had flown in from the infected area (Wuhan) and was put under quarantine, came back negative. She remains, however in the city’s main hospital (PTS) under observation.
She appears to be suffering from a straight-forward flu infection with no further complications. The woman had gone to the A&E Department of the said hospital complaining of a fever and flu symptoms.
The other Chinese tourists who were accompanying the woman remain isolated in their hotel, where they have been confined since Saturday.
To date there have been no confirmed cases of Coronavirus in Spain
