The Agriculture and Environment Department at the Almuñécar Town Hall is in the process of resurfacing the road leading up to the Peña Escrita Mountain Park… which remains closed. The said lane or road is known as the Camino Cuesta de Cordobilla.

Councillor Luis Aragón explained that the Town Council had awarded the works contract to Atosa Aglomerados Toledo SLU who have to carry out the work for the price of 39,730 euros, plus IVA.

The work comprises of resurfacing seven sections of the said lane, adding up to a total of 4,200 sq/m of tarmac, thus eliminating the potholes and other signs of deterioration to it.

The work should have begun sooner but the December rains and the Christmas break set things back.
