Nine people were arrested – amongst them a Top-Gun in car theft on a European level – using several garages in Malaga as clearing houses.
This gang were capable of stealing a luxury 4×4 in 29 seconds using the latest electronic/software tools. So far, the police have tied 15 stolen vehicles to them, but only managed to recover seven of them.
The accused allegedly stole these vehicles and sold them to drug-trafficking organisations based in the Campo de Gibraltar, once they had been ‘processed’ in the before-mentioned garages, changing the plates and paperwork, amongst other tasks. Others were directly exported for sale abroad

The nine people arrested are of several nationalities, besides Spanish, such as, Italian, Bulgarian and Lithuanian, and all aged between 21 and 55.
The seven cars that were recovered had been stolen from urbanizaciones around the provinces of Málaga, Huelva and Madrid.
Amongst the material found and confiscated were false, police number plates, as well as automatic weapons.
