Malaysian TV in La Roka

SAL Malaysian ProgrammeA 9-man crew from the Malaysian state broadcasting company (Radio Televisyen Malaysia) was filming in Salobreña on Tuesday.

Not only did they shoot on several locations but  they also used a drone to film aerial shots of the municipality.

The filming is for a 16-part travel series on Spain and its Muslim heritage. Salobreña will occupy about 30 minutes in one of the episodes.

The series concentrates, amongst other aspects, on cuisine, which is why the producer got in contact with a bar-restaurant in the old town; La Roka. The crew also took advantage of the establishment’s fantastic views. The Chef, Ibrahim Romero, prepared some local dishes using local produce as part of the programme.

This TV production, which counts on the backing of the Singapore Board of Tourism, will also be taking in locations in Madrid, Córdoba, Sevilla, Granada and Málaga.
