Artists’ Network Alpujarra is an art collective that raising awareness about climate crisis through Art.
Entitled Tierra Frágil, the exhibition will be set up in the Old Town Hall, in Órgiva, from 10th to the 31st of August.
At the inauguration on Saturday the 10th at 19.00h there will be refreshments and a chance to preview and purchase original artworks. The exhibition will then be open on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 19.00h to 22.00h and then Thursday & Saturday from 11.00h to 13.00h.
Coordinated by local artists, Hilly Barmby and Fiona Hicks, and curated by Gareth Lister, the exhibition will feature numerous artworks, including: traditional paintings, photographs, 3D work, light installations, and films related to the climate on flat screen TVs.
Fiona Hicks explained: “Tierra Frágil is a space where local artists share the zeitgeist, their vision of the Earth where we live with all its mystery and magic, despair and hope, power and fragility.”
This exhibition follows on from previous, successful, ANA exhibitions at the Old Town Hall, Órgva. These include its Old and New exhibition during Easter 2019 and the ‘Hot Winter Show at Christmas 2018.
