The Mayor of Salobreña, Sra. Rufino, has given updates on pending projects, such as the TH1 hotel and the luxury one on the N-340.
Concerning the TH1 hotel project (that’s the area between El Peñon and La Guardia), the hotel chain will have submitted the modified Environmental Impact Report to the Town Hall before the end of last month. The Town Hall had rejected their first report over some minor details.
If all goes according to plan *cough!* the hotel chain will receive its building licence for the new hotel during September.
OK, the next; the luxury hotel in the Pargo area on the mainroad… the Mayor said… that it is ready to receive its building licence, which will be announced “shortly.”
As for the new medical centre, which will be located next to Parque Fuente II, the new conservative-run Junta de Andalucía is not happy with this location. In fact, in the recently approved budget for the Regional Government, this project was not even included. The Mayor says that she has requested a meeting with the Regional Health Board to discuss the matter on several occasions, but to no avail.
“Six months ago [under the previous socialist administration] it was a top priority, along with the one in Guadix,” she complained.
