The XIV Festival Aéreo Internacional de Motril is just around the corner; an event that will attract tens of thousands of spectators.
The Motril Air Display, which will be held on the Punta del Santo (Playa Granada/Poniente) on the 30th of June, is now amongst the most important airshows in Spain and counts on international participation, both military and civil.
Some of the participating acts will be the Spanish Air Force, air-display team, Patrulla Águila and the Army parachuting team, Patrulla Paracaidista PAPEA.
As for aircraft, there will be a Eurofighter Typhoon, a Canadair, twin-engined, water bomber, an HT-Chinook 17 together with an HA-28 Tigre, as well as the aircraft from the aerobatic display team Plus Ultra and more.
As for foreign participation the Polish Air Force display team, Orlik Team, flying PZL-130 Orliks will enthral onlookers, too.
When you consider that there were almost 70,000 spectators last year, it is easy to believe that this attraction brought in almost a million euros for Motril businesses.
The organiser, the Asociación Aeronáutica Andaluza Orión, should be congratulated for putting together such a complicated agenda yet again this year.
