There’s been another big drugs bust in Nerja, this time on Playa el Cañuelo, where 38 packages containing a total of 1.2 tonnes of hashish were confiscated.

The police operation took place on Friday morning, which resulted in nine arrests, counted on the collaboration of Guardia Civil units from Rincón de la Victoria and Nerja, as well as Almuñécar from across the provincial border.

The drug runners were caught in the act, moments after landing the cargo and whilst it was being transferred to two vans, which were also confiscated.

The police operation continues active as there might be forthcoming, related arrests.
