Hotel Worker Abuses Child

GRA Comandancia Guardia Civil HQ

The Guardia Civil HQ is holding a foreign worker from a hotel within the province of Granada, suspected of sexually abusing a 5-year-old girl in the hotel.

It was last Saturday when another employee noticed that the suspect was ‘behaving in a less that adequate way with a minor.’ Having perhaps got wind of this discovery, the man reportedly stole money from the till and fled.

The girl often came to the hotel with her parents who had some sort of connection with the owner of the hotel.

The child was immediately examined exhaustively by a doctor, who discovered evidence that she had suffered a sexual aggression not only on the said Saturday but apparently on previous occasions.

The police immediately began searching for the suspect, both for theft of the money and for allegedly sexually abusing a minor. The police, fearing that he would try to skip the country, broadcast his description to the authorities at the Granada bus station, the train station and the airport.

Finally, an off-duty guardsman who was driving through the city of Granada in the evening came across the man. When he called him by his name, the man ran off but the policeman managed to catch up with him and arrest him, thanks to another off-duty guardsman who was also in the area.

As stated in the first paragraph, he is remanded in custody but he must be charged and brought before a magistrate by the end of today, if he is not to be released.
